Summer is Sangria Time! I love sangria. It is so easy to make, just pull a pitcher from the fridge as guests arrive and no one needs much encouragement to start pouring glasses. It feels fancy and instantly festive. As the party host, it’s a no-brainer.
Family and friends always assign me the Sangria to bring to their gatherings. It seems everybody loves my sangria. The question “who made the sangria” always comes up during these events and a crowd shouts my name 🙂 It’s an awesome feeling! So, thought to share with you the ingredients I use to make The Perfect Red Wine Sangria for your next summer gathering.
Please note : There is no specific measurement for each ingredient listed, as it depends on how much sangria you want to make. Therefore, you’ll need to taste and adjust according to your liking. Spice mine up though! 🙂
- Variety of fruits (Apples, Strawberries, Oranges, Blueberries, Blackberries, etc.) The amount and type of fruit is up to you.
- Red wine. I use Merlot, any brand
- Frozen Lemonade
- Few squeezed oranges
- Carbonated water. I use a lime flavored one to add a hint of lime taste to the sangria
- Brandy
- Triple Sec
- Sugar
- Maraschino Cherries
Cut the fruits in slices or small cubes depending on the fruits you get (put aside some of your favorite ones to use later to garnish/decorate the glasses). Get a pitcher, add the red wine and sugar. Mix well until sugar dissolves. Add the fruits first, then the rest of the ingredients adjusting them (especially the amount of Brandy) to your liking.
Cheers!
